China Eastern Airline and Pratt & Whitney reached to agreement in Y2005 to jointly set up a new world class aircraft CFM56® engine overhaul joint venture. This new joint venture, Shanghai Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Engine Maintenance Company Limited. has been set up in Q4,2007 in Shanghai. Once fully operational, the facility is expected to overhaul 200-300 engines per year and employ 800 people. The facility, due to induct its first engine in 2008, will comprise approximately 23,000 sq. meters (250,000 sq. feet). Its in-depth repair capabilities, 10-meter test cell with capability of up to 75,000 pounds of thrust, and state-of-the-art information technology system will provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services to airline customers in China and the Aisa Pacific region. The joint venture is located in Qingpu district which is 17 kilometers from HOngqiao airport and 32 kilometers to downtown area of Shanghai.

IT Engineer
Responsibility:
- Maintain and support the entire network of the company, including host computers, network and data communication facilities so as to ensure smooth connection of network and proper execution of backup strategy;

Purchasing Specialist
Responsibility:
- Stock and emergent order purchasing process;
- Track and expedite all purchase order;
- Global sourcing for emergent parts or take any remedial solution to get in parts to meet customer"s requirement timely;
- Track and manage parts inbound cycle till parts receiving;
- Manage and supervise supplier"s performance, analyze supplier quality and evaluation;
- Monitor failure from the supplier"s shipment and take proper and timely action to solve the failure to ensure parts outbound in time;

PROCESS & METHODS ENGINEER- REPAIR
Basic Function: Provide technical support and direction for the teardown, inspection, repair, modification, and assembly of engines undergoing repair or refurbishment. Typically has responsibility for one or several modules (i.e. LPC and HPC) within an engine family during a shop visit.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that all statutory and Company"s regulations and standards relating to the maintenance, alteration and inspection of engines and components are complied with and adhered to, and that any such work undertaken by the JV meet the standards required by the OEM, Regulatory and Customer.
- Implement policies and procedures in relation to the maintenance and preventive maintenance of all products through the facilities.
- Ensure mandatory modification, programs and alert service bulletins are incorporated or complied with as required by the customer and the applicable regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for the overall process of disassembly/assembly and repairs. Provide technical work instructions to the business unit, including assembly/disassembly and repair.
- Support unserviceable material review clinics. Develop new repairs and inspection limits to make hardware serviceable. Generate EAs/LEAs as necessary to support this activity.
- Coordinate with OEM, East Hartford Engineering and Technical Support to insure that Engine Center is utilizing the most current technical information.
- Assist PPE"s in engine module reviews during shop visit, looking for new or typical distress modes. Provide technical input for shop visit reports to the customer.
- Provide support and develop process improvement through innovative setup reduction, work simplification, tools/equipment design/modifications.
- Actively support the quality and productivity improvement and maintenance cost reduction initiatives. Support Cell Leader to meet business objectives.
- To prepare and maintain general instructions and work instructions within the processes of the repair areas/cells based on engine and component manufacturer"s documentation.
- To find solutions to technical problems in connection with his/her responsibility field and to obtain approval from the authorities for any deviations from the manufacturer"s documentation.
- Support of production and repair tooling.
- Support Purchasing and Quality to identify and regulate repair vendors and suppliers.
- To ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety initiates and to foster company ACE initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum: BS Degree in Engineering;
- Minimum 5 Years relevant experience and also have engine hardware experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with engine hardware assembly and repairs is preferred.

NDT Inspector/Mechanic
Department: Operation
Responsibilities:
- Have the skills and knowledge of set-up and standardize equipment,conduct test,interpret and evaluate for acceptance and rejection for the part
- Willing perform cleaning for the engine parts
- Control the quality of cleaning and NDT inspection process
- Prepare the relative document in accordance with the written practice
- Provide necessary guidance and supervision to trainee and level 1 personal
- Support supervisor and cell leader to reach the goal of department and company
Qualifications:
- Education background: technical school or above, major in metal material or NDT
- At least 2 years experience as licensed level 2 NDT inspector, CFM56 experience is preferred
- Training received: NDT level 2 license for PT/ET/MT methods certified by PCN/ASNT/CAAC or other industry authority
- Good communication skill in both English and Chinese
CELL LEADER
Basic Function: Lead a team of technicians in an Engine Overhaul Shop involves in Overhaul, modifications and repair of Engine. Teardown, inspection, repair, modification, and assembly of engines or modules undergoing repair or refurbishment in compliance with OEM, Regulatory, Customer and Company requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead an Engine or module production cells.
- Ensure that all statutory and Company"s regulations and standards relating to the maintenance, alteration and inspection of engines and components are complied with and adhered to, and that any such work undertaken by the JV meet the standards required by the OEM, Regulatory and Customer.
- Limit work carried out on parts, components or accessories only to those in the Capability list and Repair Station"s operation specification.
- Implement policies and procedures in relation to the various maintenance requirements of all engine or modules through the facility.
- Plan, schedule, monitor and track work flow to meet quality and delivery requirement concurrent with engine test and customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain formalized process documents.
- Ensure full compliance to EH&S, Ethical and Quality requirements as specified by Corporate and company. These include training, continuation training, awareness, alert, policies and practices but no limited to these. Lead by example and demonstrate 100% commitments through actions, decisions and communications.
- Work proactively to engage with peers and associates to address issues - Quality, customer, production, and technical issues.

QUALIFICIATIONS:
- Completed High School or equivalent or Higher National Trade Certificate (Aerospace or Engine trade preferred) or Completed Aerospace Apprentice Training Program (24 months program) or Holder of various aviation authority type courses (Mechanical, Basic Gas turbine, Avionics. Completed and passed the relevant examinations conducted by Regulatory Authority.
- Minimum 3 Years Engine Overhaul experience. CFM 56 engine overhaul experience is preferred.
- CAAC licence on PWT or MEC is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Can communicate in English.
POWERPLANT ENGINEER
Basic Function: Provide overall technical support and direction for the teardown, inspection, repair, modification, assembly and test of engines undergoing repair or refurbishment. Has technical responsibility for the overall engine during a shop visit.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that all statutory and Company"s regulations and standards relating to the maintenance, alteration and inspection of engines and components are complied with and adhered to, and that any such work undertaken by the JV meet the standards required by the OEM, Regulatory and Customer.
- Implement policies and procedures in relation to the maintenance and preventive maintenance of all products through the facilities.
- Ensure mandatory modification, programs and alert service bulletins are incorporated or complied with as required by the customer and the applicable regulatory requirements.
- Overall technical direction to the business unit, including assembly/disassembly direction, test program definition and troubleshooting, analysis of engine test data, disposition of deviations and maintenance of shop visit records.
- Provide directions on engine shop visit workscope definition, participate in or chair Technical Support meetings defining required maintenance actions. Coordinate available engine data and modification information to provide timely workscope definition and communication to the business unit.
- Lead troubleshooting of engine defects, incidents and performance related issues. Investigate and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with OEM, East Hartford Engineering and Technical Support to insure that Engine Center is utilizing the most current technical information. Ensuring mandatory modifications programs and alert service bulletins are incorporated or compiled with, as required by the customer and the applicable regulatory requirements.
- Assist PWES program management with customer inquiries and problems. Respond to customer questions and participate in the creation and review of customer build and modification standards. Provide technical input for the issuance of shop visit reports to the customer.
- Develop engine overhaul work scope and standard work to continuously improve engine performance and reduce overhaul cost.
- Work closely with and provide technical support to Operations and various departments.
- Actively support the quality and productivity improvement and maintenance cost reduction initiatives. Support Cell Leader to meet business objectives

Basic Function: Provide technical support, work scoping and direction for the teardown, inspection, repair, modification, and assembly of engines undergoing repair or refurbishment. Establish and provide technical document, records and control for all engine overhaul.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that all statutory and Company"s regulations and standards relating to the maintenance, alteration and inspection of engines and components are complied with and adhered to, and that any such work undertaken by the JV meet the standards required by the OEM, Regulatory and Customer.
- Implement policies and procedures in relation to the maintenance and preventive maintenance of all products through the facilities.
- Ensure mandatory modification, programs and alert service bulletins are incorporated or complied with as required by the customer and the applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain mandatory records relative to airworthiness requirements in accordance with conditions and requirements as laid down by the airworthiness authorities.
- Specify Standard Requirements and documentations to be issued for each engine shop visit.
- Specify Customer"s modifications and Configurations Requirements
- Record, update and track shop visit findings, incorporation of Modifications, regulatory inspections, etc and prepare Shop Visit Reports.
- Convert, compile and develop production process sheets by consolidating Regulatory, OEM, Customer and company technical data, according to process flow on the shop floor.

- Maintenance of a list of engine modifications that is concurrent with Engineering recommendations for each engine model to assist customers in the determination of their engines" work scopes.
- Liaise with other engine center and other applicable publishers on process sheet details and other related matters.
- Assist and provide support to various end-users in resolving problems and other matters relating to process sheets.
- Issue accurate, complete and timely work packages/production process sheets to shop.
- Provide support and develop process improvement through innovative setup reduction, work simplification, tools/equipment design/modifications.
