 JOB SUMMARY

An exciting opportunity exists for a Commercial Manager - Account Management within the Civil Aerospace Customer Regional Team, supporting our customers operating out of the Greater China region and managing a variety of original equipment and services agreements.  The role will be based in the Beijing Customer Service Centre. 

The role will report directly to the Commercial Executive – Greater China.  An important aspect of the role will be to help establish and grow Commercial capability within the CSC, this will include providing support to other Commercial team members / the wider CSC team and also helping to recruit and retain highly competent and motivated Commercial staff.

 

Key accountabilities of the role are:

  • to be the Commercial lead for allocated customer accounts and to provide an efficient and timely Commercial Account Management service for such accounts, including management of contracted commitments, invoicing, issuing credits, Total Care escalation and reconciliations, offer letters, contract interpretation and amendments to contracts;

  • to manage the resolution of customer issues, claims, disputes and litigation in order to minimise cost and risk to the company.  To draft, negotiate and agree associated commercial settlements and/or contractual amendments as necessary;

  • to identify and assess potential risks and liabilities inherent in contracts and to propose and negotiate amendments to manage, minimise or mitigate such risks or liabilities whilst achieving expected financial returns;

  • to manage profit, cash and debt relating to specific contracts to ensure that financial targets are achieved and to provide timely and accurate inputs into the financial forecasting process;

  • to interface with specialist departments within the company to obtain advice and guidance.  To evaluate such advice and thereafter develop pragmatic solutions to complex, multi-dimensional issues to meet customer and business requirements;

  • to ensure delivery of relevant Customer Regional Team objectives in line with Business Plan Deployment, while demonstrating compliance with Commercial function and business policies and procedures;

  • Regional Fleet Planning for allocated product types and Customers in region.

  • Responsible for the delivery of covered services, ensuring services provided achieved contracted commitments and meet or exceed customer expectation.

  • Planning engine removals with our customers, managing their return to service through the MRO network while ensuring Customer spare engine levels are maintained and the Project Executive Operations Plan is delivered.
